Key Stage 4 – Year 10 and 11 (ages 15 to 17)
The next essential part of your child’s education will give them the opportunity to choose the subjects they enjoy, and lay the foundations of a fulfilling life. In Year 10, students at Excel Education International start studying for their IGCSEs. The International General Certificate of Secondary Education which form part of the widely-recognized British Curriculum. These exams provide a solid bridge to further study such as the A Level Programme, Diploma Programmes and Foundation programmes and give children a chance to choose the subjects that inspire them.
Students will tackle a range of subjects before sitting for the IGCSE exams at the end of Year 11. All students are however required to take subjects such as Mathematics and English, while they will also tackle Physics, Economics, Chemistry, Accounts etc. Students will receive support from the school’s Academic Director and Principal in choosing the subjects that are right for them and most effectively for their chosen career.
